my husband and i came for drinks and munchies. We had a fabulous time. The bar was lively and entertaining. Great service, the staff was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We loved the mussels, lots of garlic! yummmmy!! and fresh bread to dip in the delicious sauce. Great prices on everything even the wine list! we will definetly be back!!!!

I read all the reviews - positive and negative and told myself that I will taste the food myself and make my own judgement call as folks could be exaggerating. Sorry - the reviews are correct. My husband and I were very disappointed with the food and service. From the onset our daughter spilled juice on our table. Our waitress said she would clean it up for us and provide us with new napkins and cutlery. After reminding her and asking another waiter, we received it about 1/2 hour later. We ordered a ceasar salad, oh, I'm home and we're still waiting for that. Our food was let's just say, me experimenting on an italian night at home with good products. My husband has basically demoted me from choosing (new) restaurants, especially when we are famished. Nice atmosphere, but go there for cocktails. If the owners can get their chefs in order, and experienced staff, it has the potential to be a booming restaurant.
A great place to get good food in a comfortable atmosphere. I often don't feel like cooking after work and have been hard pressed to find a place to bring my kids that has food worth eating and is not the typical stuffy oakville restaurant. The Olive Press does a great job at bridging the gap, providing great food, that is served by friendly staff in a very pleasant atmosphere. I have been 3 times this month and will keep coming back.
I loved this place! Went with my husband, and had a great time! The food was great, the service even better!! Ignore the bad reviews on this site. I'll be going back many many times!
You walk in the Olive Press and the ambiance is incredible! My wife loves the music, she is Italian. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. We will definitely be back, actually i am going again on monday! Going to have the Sicilian pizza and wing this time. I love being able to see the kitchen. Give this one a try! I have been to alot of restaurants in oakville and this one is top notch.
