Stopped in after my wife found it on the 'net. I had the Chicken Pad Thai which is by far the tastiest dinner I've eaten in a long time. Filling too, almost needed a doggie bag. This is my first review, which I felt compelled to write seeing a negative one here. Don't believe it, this place is clean, nicely decorated and you can't beat the food. We chatted with the owner for about 15 minutes. Polite to a fault. I'm definitely coming back. And it's 2.5 hours away.Read more

Little Bangkok took over the Spiago restaurant in the Glenwoods mall in the corner across from Scotia Bank in Keswick. What a great spot! ... the atmosphere is nice and the staff are very attentive.
The food was delicious and served hot. We all ordered dishes and then shared. The waitress was very helpful in choosing what to order and what food complimented other dishes.
Friendly staff, great food and they even have take out and lunch specials!!

I loved the food at Golden Bell. Newmarket has a lot of Thai restaurants and while most of them are good, I feel this one greatly stands out as the best. They have a very inexpensive lunch menu and a quaint dining room if you don't opt for take-out. The service is nothing spectacular as far as dining in goes but it is passable. I will make this my first choice for Thai food.Read more

Bangkok Thai Cuisine was fantastic! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the service was excellent. The owner is lovely and so personable, along with her staff. We started off with the Appetizer Assortment which was soooo good and made us excited for what was to follow. We opted for the Pad Thai and we were not disappointed – it was perfectly prepared with just enough sauce and plenty of chicken and tiger shrimps. Finally, we had the Chicken Cashew and the Mixed Vegetables. Both were excellent! Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. We will definitely be returning!Read more

Thai cuisine enjoys great popularity worldwide, and for good reason. The dishes are characterized by a harmony of sweet and sour flavours and fresh, bold ingredients like basil, cilantro, lime leaves and mint.
In addition to the freshness of the ingredients, the other big benefit of eating Thai food is economic: most Thai restaurants are quite affordable.
What you'll find on your plate A typical meal consists of a soup, a curry dish or a spicy salad, along with fish and vegetables. To whet your appetite, here are some classic Thai recipes:
Tom yam kung: shrimp and lemongrass soup
Tom ka gay: coconut milk soup with chicken, lemongrass, chili and lime
Pad Thai: fried rice noodles served with bean sprouts and chopped peanuts
Khao niao mamuang: sticky rice with coconut and mango—fruit is the honoured guest at dessert time
Salty fish sauce compliments many Thai dishes. It enhances stews and sautés, as does galangal, which is similar to ginger. Cashews and curry are other musts.
Spicy sauces are often used as well. These are typically made of roasted or dried chili peppers, garlic, shallots, lemon or other citrus fruits, tamarind and vinegar. Keep in mind that the number of little hot peppers shown beside each dish on the menu (one or two or three) usually indicates the level of spiciness.
Another typical recipe is papaya salad, which is enjoyed by everybody in Thailand, from the poorest of families to the clients of the most contemporary Thai restaurants.
