The Coldroom welcomes you to their establishment. They are easily reachable by public transit but also by bicycle. The neighboring area is notable for its restaurants and stores.
Kevin Demers, owner of the Coldroom, and manager Daniel Boulianne met in November 2015 while competing against each other at a cocktail competition. The two bartenders knew each other by name, had some of the same friends, but had never actually met. "We started talking, and we got along very well. We both truly cared about customer service," remembers Daniel.
At the time, Kevin had found a location to open his own bar, after working at Clébard, Santos and Flyjin. In Daniel, who was then running La Distillerie, he found a partner with whom he could share his business vision: to create a place "with a relaxed and warm atmosphere," explains Daniel.
After months of renovating, arranging and decorating the basement at the mystery location, the two friends finally opened The Coldroom in September 2016.
