Downtown Pets & Aqurium

Great store! We got our pet beta fish from there and all accessories. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable especially Tony! Their advice on how to care for our fish has helped us keep our dear pet healthy and vigorous. The store is also a lot of fun to visit. It’s like going to an aquarium. Thanks so much for everything. I was harrassed from the MINUTE I arrived in the store yesterday. Followed into another section and then when I asked why I was being followed, the employee ran into my face and screamed "WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS HERE?!" She scoffed when I told her I wanted a birdcage "OH NO. I DON'T THINK SO!"..I showed her my cash. "HA! WE ALL HAVE MONEY! THAT MEANS NOTHING!" She then called security and refused to sell me a bird cage and had me kicked out. All in a matter of 5 minutes. I'm black. The end.

Absolutely Awful

This store is AWFUL. Their merchandise costs up to three times what you'd pay for it at a real pet store. They refuse even the most reasonable refund requests, and offer only store credit, and even that expires in a very short period of time. The staff openly admit that they do not care if customers return or not, which is probably why the store is usually EMPTY. Also, the hallway outside smells like urine. Seriously, flush your money down the toilet before you visit this toilet of a store.
