Mark Summers has a passion for bike riding in all its different forms. But in the Greater Toronto Area, there were limited places to ride year-round, which had him going to other towns in search of places to bike. “A group of us went to an indoor bike park that we heard about in the United States,” Mark says. “And they did a great job there, we loved it. A couple of years later, we wondered if that could work here in the GTA and decided it could. We put together a business plan, found this space, and now here we are.”
Mark and the his team designed the entire Joyride150 facility to features varied terrain. Its programs are tailored to riders of all ages and skill levels. “We have riders from two years old to 72,” Mark says. “And areas for anyone from beginner up to Olympic level and X-Games level athletes.”
