My husband and I decided to try this place since his colleague recommended it. I personally wouldn't have gone in there otherwise, it is not the nicest looking place from the outside, and there are always creepy people loitering around it.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised!
Inside it is nice and big, with lots of tables and booths as well as the bar in the far corner.
The menus are very reasonably priced.
Every item we ordered was delicious.
The service was impeccable.
We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely go back!
went for dinner this evening and ordered the chicken wings, there was ketchup stuck on the table! Gross the wings were ok, and the fries were good. went to use the bathroom and it hadnt been cleanded in awhile. thats a big thing for me because they say it reflects the kitchen. My boyfriend had the soup he said it was fantastic! so not sure what to rate this place? mayby well try again next week. The service was very slow!

My Husband and I have lived near R U Serious for 4 years. It was only recently (3 months ago) that we decided to give it a shot.
We were first very happy with how clean the entire restaurant was; including the women's washrooms, which can be a huge issue with some restaurants.
Secondly, the server was amazingly friendly and quick to get us our drinks and keep the free refills on pop flowing; without having to ask for a refill I would like to note, which to me is always the sign of an excellent server.
Thirdly, the food was outstanding! I had the lunch size lasagna. It was a really generous portion, and you could definitely tell that it was homemade. The garden salad I had with it was fresh and was void of any brown or slightly off lettuce (which again can be a problem at some restaurants). My husband always judges the quality of a restaurant by their burger, which is what he had. The burger was again homemade (it was thankfully not just some pre-fab patty) and very flavourful. The fries are also out of this world. They are consistently nice and crispy.
Needless to say, after our fantastic first experience, we have been back many times. We have ordered a variety of things off the menu, and each item has been delicious and prepared with care and homemade quality. The portions are always consistently big and a great value. This restaurant is truly one of Guelph's best casual, home-style restaurants.
I was quite satisfied with the everything. The waitress was kind and always available. It was an early dinner my wife and I had so it wasn't very busy. The background music wasn't too loud and the chairs were great. The menu had a large selection and for $10 each plus a drink for the two of us it was a good deal. I also loved the fries.
Entrance was easy to find despite some previous reviews. Food quantity was good for the price and I will visit again!
