Vancouver Classic

Awesome restaurant and I'm not even vegetarian! Food was not as tasty as I remember it but still very good. A Vancouver classic. Funky Atmosphere.

Not sure what the fuss is about

The Naam is one of the restaurants that I just don't get. Everyone raves about it. Everyone thinks its one of the best vegetarian friendly restaurants in the city. Yet, every time I go there I am left feeling underwhelmed. I will be the first to admit that I am a self-confessed carnivore but I am also always willing to eat vegetarian once a week. Yet, my experiences at the Naam always leave me wanting. Not bad, just not great.

NAAM is the absolute perfect place to go when you...

NAAM is the absolute perfect place to go when you like vegetarian food - or if you a curious and would like to try vegetarian food. This place proofs that vegetarian food is neither plain nor not tasty. It's great. You should not go there when you are in a rush. Most of the times you will encounter a line up; at least during dinner time. Sometimes their live music is a bit to loud.

If you think vegetarian food is boring and not...

If you think vegetarian food is boring and not tasty try this restaurant! Every single dish on their menu is delicious. Sometimes you will not even believe that it's "just" veggies, since the taste is incredible and your taste buds might believe you are actually eating meat. The restaurant is so popular that you should bring some time when going there, since you will encounter a line up.

Magical patios in Vancouver's Kitsilano

Magical patios in Vancouver's Kitsilano

The patio here doesn’t catch the summer sun like the others, but it offers a magical charm. Tucked in-between the restaurant and the building next door, the patio is an oasis in the heart of Kitsilano, with large trees that provide shade from the midday sun and heaters that keep the space warm into the night. The laidback atmosphere and vegetarian menu make this a must-try spot.

7 must-try vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver

7 must-try vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver

No list about vegetarian fare in Vancouver would be complete without mentioning this award-winning Kitsilano institution. The Naam has filled the bellies of UBC bohemians, tourists and families for decades. In an eclectic, plant-covered restaurant evocative of the grassroots cafés of 1970’s California, chefs here are celebrated for modern twists on traditional hippy fare including miso gravy dragon bowls, sesame fries, Mexican salads, and crunchy granola – all equally groovy (and tasty).
