The doors to Miles of Smiles Daycare opened in 2015, but it was years of hard work that led up to the creation of this colourful kids centre. Sonila Koleci had worked in daycares for 12 years but she quit to stay home with her three kids. When the opportunity to own her own daycare came up, she couldn’t resist. “It was always my dream to have my own business in the childcare field,” she says.
Childcare had been Sonila’s career goal ever since she got her Bachelor of Education in her native Albania. “It’s my passion to work with children,” says Sonila. “Being the mother of three children, it gives me time to spend with my own kids. Meanwhile, I get to spend time with the children at the daycare.”
