Conveniently close to Finch Station, Sapporo's incredible quality has set a new standard for Japanese restaurants in my mind.
Eat in, take out, whatever. Buy from Sapporo, you won't regret it.
A nice cosy restaurant that has a very homely feeling. The waiteresses (mostly female) are extremely nice and you are usually greeted right when you come in with a loud and courteous hello in Japanese/Korean (It's Korean owned). The food is delicious, with wasabi used to stick sushi together, so be prepared for a little bit of spicyness. The pieces are a good size, like real authentic japanese sushi. The price is reasonable, and their are buttons for you to press to call for service. Their are also booths that you and your party can go into, to seperate from the rest of the restaurant. The crowd is for the most part diverse, with family, couples, and casual diners all in one room. The appetizers are also very nice, and it is all topped off with green tea ice cream of course.
Good deal, good place, good people, good food.
Note : Small bathroom.
Bright and spacious, MeNami is always packed and for good reason. The resto specializes in authentic udon and sake, and there is a menu dedicated to small plates. The sake menu is quite extensive, and a favourite among regulars is the Nama-Nama Fresh Draft Sake.
