I've been to a lot of Italian Fine dining restaurants and this one in particular stood out to me. The food was very well cooked to my liking. The pasta itself was perfectly made and the sauces always compliment the dish! I had the Fusilli Rustica with Rose sauce. The service is phenomenal. Always friendly and they really know their dishes. The price is also VERY affordable compared to other restaurants. The ambiance suits the restaurant and it really is a beautiful place. It makes me feel like I'm in Italy !

Mango Rain is a cozy little restaurant run by a hard working young couple. It is a small restaurant located on 1714 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, ON (on a strip mall, south side of Lakeshore). They have a small, but good variety of dishes from butter chicken, lamb, vegetarian plates and fantastic naan. Their prices range from $9 (lunch plates) to $16 (dinner plates). I have been meaning to write a review since November. I hadn’t been to Julia’s in a while and my husband and I were looking for a restaurant to take some friends from Toronto. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical and thought perhaps something had changed since we last there. We decided to take out friends there anyway (on Saturday November 20) and couldn’t have had a more pleasant dining experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very good. We enjoyed it so much that my husband and I went back there for New Years and had another evening of wonderful food and a cozy table.
Every time I have been to this restaurant I have had a very positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend Julia’s to others.

This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. I've been twice now, and both times were absolutely fantastic.
The Gnocchi I ate the first time there was the best I've ever had, and it's not even close. I actually moaned, involuntarily, taking a bite of it. Bruschetta was the appetizer I had. The ratio of tomatoes to bread to garlic and herbs was perfect.
Lastly came the tiramisu. Absolutely delectable. melted in my mouth.
Sure it's a bit dingy inside, but they're making upgrades as they can, and the food more than makes up for it.

Superb service and food make this place somewhere to return again and again. Very attentive staff, excellent Italian dishes. I had the piping hot Minestrone vegetable soup and fresh fish of the day. The others had pasta or beef tenderloin. Everyone loved their meals. My only complaint was that my fish was to come with roasted potatoes and vegetables, but there was only one small half of a potato. Other than that, everything else was great, including dessert.

The décor is light, airy, and inviting. Although there are TV screens on the wall, they are to display menu items, not to distract from dining with sports or news. The background music was middle-eastern, a bit loud at first, but then not intrusive at all. There is a specialty oven which uses a wood fire to bake the middle-eastern pizzas. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even had a visit from the chef, who is also the owner.
We had hummus for an appetizer, the falafel plate, mango juice, and cookies, all made on the premises. Everything was superb. The pita arrived fresh from the oven, looking like inflated volleyballs rather than flatbread. The falafel were generous, delicious, and hot.
My only reservation was the amount of plastic used, but then items such as hummus were prepared for take-out and served to us immediately. And we did notice a good many people buy food for take-out.
We are very glad this restaurant has opened, and will be sure to visit again.
