We went for the first time on Wed Feb 11, with a couple friends who said they go here all the time. I can now say i understand why they eat here, because the food and service were excellent. Shout out to Marciano’s! Fabulous meal ! Owner and waitress were so hospitable. They both delivered food to our table and were very passionate about the food they were serving us. From our experience we found the Wine & sparking water to be reasonably priced. We had the vapolicella wine which was $47 a bottle Not cheap but not expensive. AMAZING! Never been to this restaurant and had my first visit ever this past Saturday. Upon walking in, I first noticed the dim lighting which set a very memorable ambiance. Delicate and soothing music played over the room and we were seated quickly. Our waitress came over promptly and asked for our beverage order and did so in a bubbly and polite manner. Me and my partner both ordered Ceasar's and they were delivered very fast. Not only fast but quite possibly the best Ceasar I've had. Shortly after the drinks, she brought bread and sauce over to our table which was nothing short of a taste of heaven. It gives East Side Mario's starter bread a run for it's money. When we were ready to place our order, we both ordered the 10oz Rib Eye glazed with Cabarnet Sauvignon. At first, my partner couldn't decide between the Lasagna or the steak. Our waitress said that their pasta is memorable but their steak is of very high caliber. So he took her advice and ended up ordering the steak. I followed suit. As our sides, we decided to have penne pasta (the best of both worlds) and the steamed vegetables. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Even at the Keg, I've never had steak so succulent and flavourful. This was incredible. Not only was the steak to die for, but they piled on - and I mean PILED on - a load of mushrooms on top and they are by far the best mushrooms I've ever eaten. The vegetables were delicious! Not too long into our meal, our waitress came over to ask how our meal was and I found it hard to tell her as I didn't want to take a breath to speak. Lol. It was then that we ordered a litre of Zinfandel to go with our meal and it, too, was impeccable. This is a beautiful little spot that is hands down the best place I've eaten in Brantford. Read more

Being from the Chicago area, my husband and I are used to good pizza. When we moved here, we were both very disappointed in any pizza we had...until we ate Venezia's! This is authentic, great tasting, made to order pizza which will keep you coming back! Granted, it is mostly for take-out though they do deliver and have a few tables inside to eat on (outdoors, weather depending). It's casual and great for when you don't have time to make dinner or you're simply craving pizza. Their panzarotti's are also wonderful! I've been twice now, and both times were absolutely fantastic. The Gnocchi I ate the first time there was the best I've ever had, and it's not even close. I actually moaned, involuntarily, taking a bite of it. Bruschetta was the appetizer I had. The ratio of tomatoes to bread to garlic and herbs was perfect. Lastly came the tiramisu. I've hosted all kinds of events at Koosh: from retirement lunches to important dinners and so on. They are flexible and can cater to all kinds of needs. Otherwise, I go often with my family and have never been disappointed. The wine list is extensive, food is noticeably fresh and the wait staff is lovely. The Robert Simpson beers are delicious, too. I'll typically order the grilled pork tenderloin but I'm also a fan of the veal gorgonzola, veal marsala and lamb shank. For lunch, the pasta or pizza specials are also quite good. If find yourself there on a weekend morning, the pancake is thick and meaty and quite unlike anything I've ever had. A great gem in a quiet and decrepit part of town.
