WOW!!!! My party and I were impressed.
I have had the pleasure of a couple of Friday night specials and I will be back. The polenta & duck with spaghetti alla chitarra, rapini, mixed rucula salad, focaccia and desert were a dining experience on par with some of Italy's finest restaurants I've had the pleasure to enjoy. The thing that still stands out to me about pepperwood is the atmosphere. It has a very Jazzy NYC vibe to it which I loved. .
The food was alright... but I would definitely go back just for the atmosphere

Went here several times a month with family throughout the 80s & early 90s. A lot of great memories and got goosebumps when I walked in the doors nearly 20 years later. Same decor, same great food & service, and Sinatra is still the music of choice. The cheese manicotti is even better than I remember and I can't believe I went without a Troc Salad for so long. Delicious & fresh tossed in the same homemade vinaigrette. And the meatballs? Simply awesome. It's a trip back in time for sure. I can't tell you how happy I am that I have rediscovered this Hamilton landmark. And that after 70 years the same high standards still hold up. Only open weekends and closed in the summer starting in July I think. If you're on the fence, just go you won't regret it.

I recently worked with Chef Dez and The Fold Catering for a fundraiser event, Party for a Cause, to raise money for a local at-risk youth after-school program. We had about 130 people attend and Chef Dez's dish was one of the most popular items at our food table. He was punctual, provided us with a chaffing dish, showed me how to use it properly, and let his food do the rest. I definitely recommend The Fold Catering for future events - they are energetic, passionate, committed, and professional!
