This was one of the first restaurants my husband took me to when we met and we have been going back ever since. We drive in from the West Island because they know how to do it right! My favorites for starters are the zucchini frits, the calamari, all their salads and they make amazing soups. For mains I like the Shrimp dishes (I've tried them all) and the risotto pescatore. My husband loves their pasta with meat sauce and the fettuccini di mare. But all their dishes are good. Its BYOW and there is an SAQ on the corner of St. Dennis and Deluth. Great food, great ambiance, great service and the owner is always there taking care of his customers. Read more

Minestrone is the best in town and the seafood platter for two is just perfect - two kinds of fish, shrimp cooked two ways and the best calamari I've ever had. If you want something really special after dessert, ask Mike (the owner) for "his" coffee - it's espresso with some alcohol in it, not sure what kind, but just the perfect end for a perfect night out. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. This small place does it right! The food is absolutely excellent, and the wait staff are very helpful with a great attitude. Everyone in our party of six loved their dinners at Positano, plus the price was right, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Being able to bring our own wine was a nice bonus and lessens the impact on the wallet. The other nice thing was that they weren't rushing us out the door the minute we were finished, but allowed us to linger and chat. No wonder the place is packed.
