Stopped for lunch today at Detour Cafe where we enjoyed delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and two attractively prepared cortados. Seriously, everything was done to perfection. Great ambiance, friendly staff, good choice of lunch and dinner items, reasonable prices, nice wine list, and great little patio in front in the Summer. Parking is an issue as you have to park around the corner, but that's typical for everything along the main street in Dundas . You have to find a metered spot (free in the evening). :) I'm looking forward to eating there again. I've been there 4 times this past year. Read more

Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind. Williams does have a large variety of dessert offerings, from great cakes to fresh waffles and various icecream desserts. A great place for coffee and dessert! Read more
