The innkeeper where I was staying recommended the Buttermilk Cafe for lunch, and it was exactly what I was looking for - casual dining with good food and service. It was obviously a popular place - it was almost full when I arrived, and I took that as a good sign but wondered whether the service would be slow. I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't have to wait long, and my server was friendly and efficient. I had the California chicken wrap, which was tasty and moist without being soggy. not bad, but not the BEST EVER Pad Thai. No veggies in it, just noodles and bean sprouts, the sauce was a bit overpowering. Would never order it again. Veggie spring rolls were awsome though. Would go back to try something different. PRICY! Read more

st veronus still has wonderful tasty food. I especially love the stoemp. BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options.
