This classic setting overlooking the river and waterwheel complements the casual, fine dining perfectly. The patio has a great view and a casual menu. Inside the cozy fireplace is very romantic or you can get a very private dining room for business or family events. Food was excellent with good variety and local flavours. Definitely worth the short country drive for a complete night out experience. Not nearly as expensive as I thought.

Great meals. Food was all fresh and high quality. Eggs to order, breakfast meats tasty, coffee is good and ample. Not much atmosphere except for the working class people, mostly men before work or lunch break. Everyone seemed very at ease and unpretentious including the staff who were eager to please. I am writing this in December of 2023, and I have been to the Bungalow a fair number of times over the past seven years. It is a great place to go, with great food and very good service. That being said, I call your attention to the fact that all of the other reviews on this website are AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD and are therefore so out of date that they should be completely ignored.

I recall eating at a Montana’s Grill a few months ago and enjoying an Aunt Emma’s meatloaf. This past Saturday my wife and I had a yearning to try it again, so we went to a relatively new Montana’s in Hyde Park and discovered that it was now listed on the menu as a “Cookhouse Meatloaf” and promoted as being one of the restaurant’s “favourites”. I can see why. Quite frankly, this was by far the best meatloaf I have ever tasted in my life, and at 73 that’s saying quite a lot. Sure you can eat meatloaf at a number of places but I bet you can’t beat having a more delicious one at Montana’s in Hyde Park.
