Judith Fetzer earned her degree in business administration from UQAM and had been involved in four different start-ups. It was time to launch her own. In 2004, she met Thomas Dubrana, who’d spent years working under his father’s wing at his two restaurants in France. Judith and Thomas quickly became the best of friends.
Like most people, Judith felt pressed for time, both in school and once she’d joined the workforce. Dinner seemed to be a repetition of the same old dishes and when trying out new recipes, she found that turning a grocery list into a ready-made meal was time-consuming and costly.
When she discovered a company in Germany that sold cooking kits on store shelves, a light bulb went on: why not launch that idea in Montreal as an online store? So she and Thomas did just that.
