“We want to make circus arts more accessible and familiar to all kinds of people. It has a reputation as a closed-off world, that you need to be practically born into, and Cirkazou’s mission is to bring as many people as possible into the fold,” explains Clotilde Schira, who co-owns the workshop business with associate Nathalie Nicolas.
To meet their goal, the two entrepreneurs have developed a wide variety of services and activities for their clients and their special events. “We can provide workshop- or performance-style circus entertainment, including clowns and magicians, with the client’s expectations and needs in mind,” explains Clotilde.
Cirkazou teaches groups of children aged four to 14 years how to create their own circus materials, and the basics of circus arts. “We work with public events and festivals, where we provide educational busking, but also with day camps and schools; all organizations that work with children.”
