The goal of the Restigouche Rivers Watershed Management Council (RRWMC) is to ensure conservation and restoration of the Restigouche River salmon resource and its habitat for the benefit of all Canadians - particularly those participating or otherwise involved in the salmon fisheries and the local communities. We are representatives of a number of interests who benefit from the wild Atlantic salmon resource of the Restigouche River watershed and have come together to form the Restigouche River Watershed Management Council. The parties we represent are strongly motivated to ensure the protection and well being of the Restigouche salmon resource. Collectively these parties provide significant local employment (400+) and expend millions of dollars annually within the Restigouche watershed towards salmon conservation and management.
