After a mani and pedi, my friend and I stopped in for lunch and had a super time, Our server(Lauren) gave us great service and the manager also introduced himself. He shared information about a new wine and he let us try a sample. They treated us like we were queens. Kudos to LAUREN!
I went here a couple times before it was renovated. First off the food is very expensive and they always seem to take off all the good dishes from the menu!! The servers are very snobby and are always trying to up-sell you on booze and more dishes so they can make higher tips. I know what I want to order don't try and sell me on other items.. One of the servers actually spilt a bottle of wine on my girlfriend's dress and she was opening it. Didn't even apologize!! This place has changed for the worse. Expensive drinks, expensive overrated food, horrible selfish, rude and unprofessional salesmen-like service. SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE.
I really like the beet goat cheese and arugula salad they serve at Moxie's. I also love their pot stickers. I have recently become allergic to wheat so I no longer am able to get the pot stickers but the staff ensures my salad is always served gluten free.
Just had drinks. My g/f had a moxie sized Belemi - which is a slushy based kind of "chick" drink. She liked it. I had a beer. Pretty hard to mess that up. Service was ok.
We go to Moxies several times a year, and the food there is definately not what it used to be. Went with my girlfriend for dinner, she ordered a soup/sandwich combo(not very hungry, half a clubhouse sandwich and a soup), when she received it she had soup first, then spun plate around to eat sandwich and noticed the majority of sandwich was burnt (toast was black) and hard, tried to do right thing, and scrape off burnt parts, but just wasn't what she wanted, spoke to server, and he said he was sorry, and the manager would be out shortly with another. About a minute later, blonde manager walks out, and she says "here is a fresh one for you we just made". As soon as we saw the sandwich, which came out way too fast to be fresh, it was obvious this was the other half of the sandwich she had already received, cold and burnt. Manager looked shocked that we said this. We eat out once a week, and there are certain expectations you have from restaurants, this was not how the situtation should have been handled. Did not see manager again for an apology, spoke to server, and he said he would take it off of the bill. Server very friendly, not his fault, manager should not have tried to pull a fast one on us, with a sandwich that had been under a heat lamp for 20 mins. Like previous reviewer said, its a 50/50 toss up if you get good food/service. This is not the first time we have had a bad experience there, but every place deserves the benefit of the doubt, and to give a second chance or third.... Hope this helps.
I did contact them after that incident and they did redeem our money and sent us a gift certificate.. We MIGHT try it again, however, we have never had a problem before that night so we might consider it again. Overall how they handelled it, very pleased.
My boyfriend and I went out for dinner and arrived early enough so we thought we would get our food relatively fast. It was not that busy in the restaurant. We ordered somewhat fast and waited and waited for around 25 minutes. The manager then came out to tell us that the bill for our food apparently never got to the cook(s). They said we could each have a dessert free after dinner. That was great and all, nice of them to do so since we had had drinks and were starving. My boyfriend later that night got sick and was not feeling well at all. He said the fish tasted like it wasn't completely cooked, but we were so hungry.... he ate it. I almost had to take him to emergency he felt so awful. I think because our bill for our food didn't get to the cook(s), they put a rush order on the meals and it ended up being so rushed that they didn't cook it enough. We had eaten here before, and things were great.... But we won't be eating there anymore.

The food wasn horrible and expemsive. The service wasn't bad but we had to give her a huge tip and she didnt do much. The shangai pasta was disgusting it was 15 dollars and there was barely anything and then to put chicken with it, it was another 4 dollars. They put like 3 tiny pieces of chicken on it. When we got the wings they were cold. It was not a good experience, maybe it was just the food we ordered. The only good thing we got was the brownie.
I ordered a salad and some fries. Not enough food was given. My boyfriend ordered some squid dish, the cost was expensive (9.99) for the amount of food he received. I'd say he probably got around 4 dollars worth of food. Not even nearly enough to fill his stomach. Our waiter wasn't too too bad. But it was annoying to watch all these skinny blonde haired girls dressed inappropriately be waiters. I couldn't believe what they were wearing, do you really think I'd wanna see that while I'm trying to eat?
The service was rude, slow, and he got our order wrong.
Our waiter was so helpful. I was going to order the Chicken Club salad but he recommended the Tai Chicken salad and I loved it. I have actually been craving it but I live so far away I wish I could have the recipe. And I am a HUGE fan of the banana bread, what a great idea. I loved the restaurant.
The food was great, and the atmosphere, was well, hillarious. I'm not too sure what happened! Everyone was stressed, Everyone, including even the managment was running around like crazed people. We wanted to skip our movie so we could stay and watch the hillarious scene that was going on. My entire table had a great time wondering why everyon seemed very unsure, unfocused, and not having the slightest bit of fun. The reason I'll return is strictly for the entertainment value of the staff. I have never seen anything like this. I felt bad tipping just one person because the entire staff was histerical.

I have been here a few times, and Ive had mixed feelings about it. Sometimes it has been decent other times not so good. Im usually not one to complain. On a previous visit I ordered the fish, it was bad! there was barely any actual fish in this big clump of bread they served me, I ended up eating some of it because the waitress disappeared instead of checking on us, later she discounted it for me but I think I shouldnt have had to even pay for that mess on my plate. The other issue I had on another visit was the waiting.We had 4 people and they made us wait forever, and began taking people that arrived after us! we werent impressed. Then when they eventually sat us down, there were so many empty seats at the back I wondered exactly why we were waiting anyway? Eat at your own risk I guess. The only thing that makes it decent is the different selection on the menu, and the good looking waitresses.
Incredible food, fantastic service that pleases the eye as well as the mood. The decore was unlike anything i've seen in a long time. Even the managment was having fun and visited our table. Everything from the hostesses at the front door, to the bartenders were having a great time while showing a vast amount of professionalism. Everything was great.
Our entire experience was memorable. We sat on the bar side of the restaurant. Everyone seemed to be having a great time around us. Our server said it was her first day and blew us away by her great service. A bartender was rounding threw the room and came by to offer us the best shots we've ever had (Car Bombs). The entire staff went beyond to make our stay personal. You don't see to many places with such a motivated staff that LOVES working, maybe that's why this restaurant is doing so great. Thumbs up to everyone there, you made our what seemed to bad miserable night memorable. Thank you Moxie's!!!!!!!
The hostess were very good looking but I would never let my daughter leave the house in what they were wearing. Service was better then most place in Windsor and food was surprisingly really good. Only real problem is that it was really busy when we went.
