Jonathan Bogo is a dog lover. And in 2010 when his then eight-year-old golden retriever, Maggie, started having stomach problems, he thought to himself, “What am I doing wrong?” After asking around at the dog park and doing some research, Jonathan became intrigued and passionate about pet nutrition, a calling that eventually led to Wooftown, the not-so-average pet store in the Yonge and Summerhill neighbourhood.

The store is tucked away on Birch Avenue, just off Yonge Street. Maggie, now happy and healed, greets customers at the door. “I feel like animals really bring out the best in people, and I started this business because of that,” says Jonathan.

    I cant say enough good things about Wooftown. First, our dog loves the food. When we gave him the previous food for the past 2 years he used to pick out certain pieces that he didnt want to eat and leave them around the house. We also put olive or coconut oil in the food to make sure he ate it. The Wooftown food he finishes completely and we dont need to add anything to it. Second, one of the bags of food we had delivered was ripped open by a Racoon because we did not realize it had been del
