If you’ve dreamed about the perfect wedding dress since you were a little girl, then Vogue Sposa is probably the type of bridal boutique you dreamed of finding it in. Sunlight pours through the large windows located between high ceilings and gleaming hardwood floors. Dotted with crystal chandeliers, Louis chairs and large gilt mirrors, and with puffs of white organza, layers of creamy lace and curtains of glistening beads lining the walls, it’s the perfect setting for fairy tale fittings.
Known for their unique take on bridal, Vogue Sposa specializes in one-of-a-kind bridal designs by local up-and-coming talent and imaginative independent designers from around the world. The shop carries several Canadian designers, such as Anais Anette and June, Barcelona designer YolanCris and American designer Tara LaTour. “We strive to find designers who truly have a unique voice,” says Eunice Yoo, owner of Vogue Sposa.
The boutique also offers custom design, as all gowns are constructed and all alterations are done in-house by a team of skilled seamstresses who have worked with Vogue Sposa for over 10 years.
But it doesn’t end with the dress - the staff will help you find the perfect veil, handmade fascinator or set of earrings from their curated collection of heirloom pieces.
This East York boutique is known for their custom designs. If you have a vision for how you want your dress to look, have the designers at Vogue Sposa make it for you from scratch (Tip: Call at least six months in advance). The cost of custom designs starts from $4,000. I’d also suggest checking out Anaïs Anette’s collection – designed in Toronto, this local brand has beautiful gowns perfect for a beach wedding. I particularly love the lace-up back detailing of the Savannah gown. Handcrafted and heirloom jewellery by Karolina Keeler is also available to complete your look.
