We read some good reviews and went for dinner. We did not order the steak because it was really expensive. And the other food was just edible. I would never visit there again.
I absolutely love this place! Although the atmosphere of this restaurant is rather dark, gloomy, and sketchy, they have one of the best steaks and lobster in town. Usually we order bbq ribs and potato fries for appetizers. These appetizers are usually mediocre. As for the entree we always order the rib eye steak as well as 2lb-4lb lobster. The rib eye steak at House of chan is one of the best steaks I have ever had. The steak at House of Chan melts in your mouth as you eat it. This type of steak should only be eaten if you enjoy the natural taste of steak, and are expecting no additional added flavours. The lobster is usually just as good as the steak. They offer you a rich butter as a dip. I really enjoy this dish as well.

Have not tried their Steak and Lobster, instead ordered some "staple" chinese food to try - Hot and sour soup, fried rice and chow mein. Decent soup, however lacking wood ear-mushrooms usually found in these soups. Very unimpressed with the other two dishes. Sub-par presentation for the paid price (9.50 for fried rice, 15$ for chaow mein), everything is very roughly chopped and thrown together, and I've definitely seen and eaten better chaow fan for half the price. May come back to try the steak and lobster. Will definitely stay away from chinese food. A restaurant that tries to be fancy but lacks the food to go with the deco/service.
The steak were charred. Luckily, they did not mess up the lobster. The "Green" that came with the meal were unwashed and un-cut: and, they certainly did not go well with a plate of greasy fry onions or potato or ... .
this is the place if staek or seafood is on your mind
Excelent food, great service, needs a little renovation, (stuck in the 70's).
