French Chocolatier Gluten Free Truffle Parisian Cafe Angelina Hot Chocolate,
It’s a Sunday afternoon and you sip a rich hot chocolate as you people watch from the checkered chairs on a quaint terrasse. No, you’re not at a Parisian café whiling away the day, though you’re probably as close as you’ll get this side of the Atlantic.
Douce France is a Parisian café/boutique that opened on the Yonge and Eglinton strip in 2013. Step inside and you’ll be greeted with a warm Bonjour by owner Christel Crouin-Saba or one of the bilingual staff. But rest assured, you need not speak a word of French to enter, though those keen on practicing will find a welcoming environment as well as French-language magazines and books.
Douce France keeps its items so authentic that its won awards. The pain au chocolat is served fresh and completely made in-house. Owner, Christel C. Saba gets all the ingredients shipped from France.
Truly an escape to Paris, Douce France is a café-boutique that sells chocolate, madeleines, biscuits and other delicious delights. Most of the products and ingredients come straight from France, so Douce France offers an authentic Parisian experience without leaving the city. Douce France is also home to the famous Angeline’s Hot Chocolate, which is often named the best hot chocolate in the world.
If you can’t whip off to a French patissiere anytime soon, not to worry; with all its fare imported from France, this dine-in and takeaway café does all the work for you. Linger over a newspaper, a cup of strong coffee and a croissant, or indulge in a quick fuel-up with a crusty baguette, cheese and olives — simple and straight-up, but oh-so French. If a craving for a Parisian sweet is on your palette, there are biscuits, candied sweets and chocolates galore.
