The salads were very good, especially the Capresse, benefiting from tasty in-season local tomatoes. If one were particular, there was one tomato slice that could have been better trimmed or left out, and as a personal preference a little more basil and perhaps salt and pepper on the table. Still it was a very nice salad, better than many Capresses that I have eaten. The lasagne was very good with thin home-made lasagne noodles, and the eggplant was equally flavorful. The eqqplant might have been a bit hotter with the cheese and tomato slices iside perhaps needing a little more heat at the start. This was not fine dining, but this wss trattoria("informal")food very nicely done and at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was friendly and informative. The restaurant was full and reservations may be necessary to ensure seating in theatre season, even on a Tuesday night. This was our best food and atmosphere in Stratford of our limited sampling from three meals to date.
