Our club had dinner there on a Tuesday evening (Nov. 6/12). The staff bent over backwards to made the evening very enjoyable to all of us (15 members showed up). Some of us took advantage of the buffet and others ordered from the menu. There wasn't a negative comment about the service, food or atmosphere. 30 thumbs up to the entire staff. Although our chapter of ClubSmartCar is centred in London, each monthly meeting is generally held at a different facility where food is available. This is one place on a very short list to which we will be returning. The whole experience was wonderful.

Service is good.
The only thing we find is the deserts are very blah, need something homemade with real butter and whip cream and flavour. Even the carrot cake does not taste like real cake
The breads are marvelous that are offered and there is always homemade soups.
We have eaten here several times over the last 20 years. One thing that has jumped out at us this whole time is, the selection on the buffet has never changed.
The roast beef is on the dry side.
overall it has never been a bad experience and I'm sure we'll go back again sometime.
Damen's in not a bad restaurant, but my wife and I have stopped going to Damen's , mostly because the salad bar never changes and we have simply become bored. Their soup, however, has always been great. The roast beef is always overdone to my taste.
Weeks after my last review we return and for the first time order from the menu. A great disappointment! The steak, which was ordered "medium-rare", was more than well-done ("over-done" might be a better description). The roast beef was very dry and extremely tough. No amount of gravy could make it palatable. Our daughter chose the buffet, which seems a safe bet. Everything, it seems, is superior. A lesson learned.
At Damen's one always knows what one is going to get: a good homecooked meal: lamb, roast beef and veggies prepared in a traditional English manner. Nothing fancy. Servers are always professional, friendly and welcoming. The building itself is quite interesting and most attractive. Expect no surprises - unfortunate or otherwise. Reliability is the word. Particularly recommended for those of us in of retirement age.

We visit every New Year's Eve with our two sons. The meal is always excellent - so flavourful and so many choices. Delicious salad bar to choose from as well as desserts. The best buffet, served with nostalgic ambience.

Very nice atmosphere in the renovated town post office circa 1900 or earlier. Homemade soup and wide salad bar make it perfect for a lunch...including desert.
