Is there anything more satisfying than holding something you created with your own hands? Sure there is — and that involves not having to clean up the mess after! Luckily, Pieter Oly and Jackie Joachim, founders of The Clay Emporium, have got you covered.
Founded in June 2013, The Clay Emporium is a paint-your-own-pottery store where visitors of all ages can drop by and paint a piece of pottery or have fun attending a party, workshop or special event. Peter and Jackie first got the idea in 2003 when they took a trip to Halifax with their daughter, Grace, and saw a similar store there. Now they and the store’s employees offer a calming environment to let visitors’ creative juices flow.
