Service is a bizarre experience - prepare to wait 1.5 hrs on Good Friday.
New owners have no concept of customer service. BEWARE, Phone orders are NOT started until you arrive and pay for it. AVOID this place on Good Friday. I phoned my order in (as did 25 other people) and we were all told 20 minutes by the owners son. They don't ask for your name or give you a number, they just take their time and you get it when you get it. When I arrived 20 minutes after placing my order, I asked the owner how long it would be. She gave me a non-answer, while laughing she says ' very busy, everyone come today'. I got my order (2 fish and chips) 1 hour after I paid her. People were waiting amongst the tables other patrons were eating from...I would feel comfortable eating a sit down dinner with 4 people standing beside my table. I will never go back to this place...ever.
Amazing Fish and Chips! Take out is always super quick and fresh....Batter is so light and chispy! Chips are the best! I have loved these fish and chips since I was little and would get take out with my grandma....Even though this place has changed ownership, they have stayed true to the traditonal fish and chips that have been served there for a long time!
I have tried fish and chips at many places and still think McCowan Fish & Chips are the best around. The batter is so light and crispy, not heavy. Dined in as well. Cozy.

The owner ws real nice, food was prepared fast, tasty fish & chips, good looking menu, will return.
The restaruant is small but the food is delicious, well cooked and the portion size is more than adequate. Whether you take the food home or eat there it is very good, always cooked fresh (they never serve reheated food)
