I had the poutine today and it was so terrible. It had way too much cheese curds and was drowning in gravy, it was like gravy soup. I used to have this poutine often and won’t go back now.
Got an order 4 pieces of halibut with fries and my order wasn’t cooked tried to call the store to let them know no one would answer the phone $36.00 for uncooked food it’s not right. I will be calling health board if I can’t get ahold of someone will call back on 28th
Get take-out often. Phoning ahead they have it ready in 10 minutes and it is always fresh and fabulous in enviro-friendly cardboard boxes. Best one of the whole franchise!
The fish was AMAZING!!! It was fresh ..and the batter was light....and tasty...
They actually opened up early to accomodate the people waiting outside...
I guess its the spot...since within 10 minutes of opening almost every seat was taken ..
The place is quaint...like a Mom and Pops...clean....I like how their menus have nutritional information...
Ordered the Captains special....shrimp/fish 2 large pieces /greek salad(filled with feta) fries and scallops....
Would definitely go back again!!! Its worth the drive to Port Hope ...

Captain Georges is the best fish I have ever eaten. The service was quick and respectful, and the price was very good as well. Always Great food and people... and I have been there quite a few times now.
