Worst Owner/Manager Ever

My husband and I use to visit Somebuddys once a month and we can in from out of town. Last visit they forgot our wings with our pizza, we didn't notice until we got home b/c we had other food. We phoned and the girl who answered very nice, said sorry np. We call today and the owner answered and was so rude to my husband that I actually called back and asked what he was going to do for the inconvenience of missing part of our order and the fact we come from out of town, very rude he said nothing b/c u asked me, then he hung up on me. In shock I called back and said he this how u treat your customers and he said he didn't have time to talk he is busy to book and appointment if I wanted to talk to him, so I said ok, the man , who lets not forget owner hangs up on me again. I can't believe he is still in business, and the turn over rate of his staff says it all. We will never go back there again

The pizza and wings are great also the Philly steak and cheese it is too bad that they charge you for every little thing , they charge .70 for extra blue cheese come on all other places just give it to you.Pop for the kids ya charge me for one but refills should be no charge!They seem to care more about take out orders maybe because he makes a great profit off charging for containers ! we placed out order one time for the pizza and wing combo one hour and fifteen minutes later and three beers finally. One very bad sign when you go in there is everytime you go in there is never the same server on.We have found a new happy spot great wings and n/c extra blue cheese.

That guy is not just nasty to staff, he's sneaky with customers. Did you know that they sneak in mystery charges on to your take-out bill? Normally I don't look that closely at take-out receipts, but once I was looking at it while I waited for my chicken wings (which I ordered ahead) and I found an extra charge of a few bucks. Turns out they do this all the time. I complained to the manager and he said it's written on the takeout menu so "I'm covered." Later I looked through the takeout menu and found the fine print that says "all take-out orders are subject to applicable charges." That's deceptive! Don't go there!

Food wasn't bad, but the owner and manger are absolutely terrible. Rude and and unprofessional. I will never go into the bar again, but manger has turned me off of the place forever. Last time we ate there, he was screaming at and insulting his staff, and appeared under the influence of 'something'.

a little known secret in niagara falls, they have the best pizza and wings!!! I order to go, just wish they had a better delivery system, the establishment smells so so good when you walk in, I allways order during the day, pizza is better than at night.

Great food and hang out place!

Bar prices excellent! We always have the same bartender...nice guy....great service!!! My husband loves the pizza. Very casual, good sports bar!

Best wings in LONG time

If we'd read some of the reviews posted here BEFORE we went we likely wouldnt have gone to Somebuddys...we've had wings pretty much anywhere you can name...these are TOUGH to beat...Arizona Dry are best I've had in restaurant in long time..fried wontons as appetizer were amazing...GRANTED our server WAS busy but order was correct and she apologized (SEVERAL times over for any delays)...would recommend and am going back...TONITE!! Cheers

Hit and Miss with this place

This place is a real hit and miss. I have been many times with family and friends. I have even walked out once. (I have never done that before) Pizza and wings are the best around especially if you go during the day, around 3-4 when the owner is cooking. Service is fantastic at this time also. Never go at dinner time from 5 to 7. The waitress are ran off their feet. Service sucks because they do not have the time. No concern when the mess up your order because they are so busy they can't think straight. Maybe the owners should put more waitress on at the busy times. (Just a thought) I will come back during the day.

Disgusting Manager

I haven't visited this bar in months and don't plan on visiting in the future. I cannot believe how the male bartender (apparently the owners son) treats his staff. I have never in my life seen anything like it. Mean, nasty and then some, doesn't even cut it. If he treats the staff like this - does he treat his parents like this too? How does he get away with it? The staff works very, very hard and they get treated like dirt. Shame, Shame!!!

Lackluster at best

I read all the reviews on this site as well as the review below that suggests we have to put ourselves in the server's shoes. I may be wrong but my line of thought is that if this is the case than why tip? Don't we go to restaurants for service and for the food (not just the food?). Our last visit at this restaurant was ok. The food was decent but there again we had terrible service. The waitress are overwhelmed, that much is obvious. But why must we settle for a bad attitude, slow service and luke-warm pizza (as we did this time) just because she might be having a bad night or someone called in sick etc. I frequent this place because it's near my home but I'll be the first to tell you that if you come on a busy night forget about any kind of "good" service whatsoever and it starts with the owner behind the bar. This guy is downright rude. I agree with the comments below where it said that "he acts like he's doing you a favor" by serving you. From my understanding there are a lot of problems with staffing presumably because of the owner's attitudes. But I guess guests will have to continue bearing with it all since changes will lkely not be made anytime soon.

I have read some of these reviews and it is obvious that MOST (not all) of the "BAD" comments were written by people that have obviously never worked in the service industry. I have eaten here many times and service is 85% of the time AMAZING the other 15% you catch a server who, may have just gotten yelled at, screwed up an order... by accident, had a table run out on her and she has to pay the 200$ bill, or someone called in sick and she has been stuck there for 12 hours without a cigarette break, or has been seated 12 tables and a party of 20 all at the same time, so before you complain about service, put yourself in your servers shoes! The food is great, people also need to remember that this is a BAR/restaurant so therefore noise, and rowdy-ness while your eating comes with the territory! If you don't want to wait for your food dont go to ANY restaurant during peak hours. Thanks (o=

a family favourite :)!

amazing food, try the wings and youll never go anywhere else :). we're regulars every week, we absolutely love going. the food & service are great, some waitresses are better than others of course. the ONLY complaints i have - the radio is too loud sometimes especially when commercials are on, and they need to upsize their parking lot! other than that, a personal & family favourite, keep up the great work

Somebuddy's is OK

Neighborhood restaurant with good food and okay service (a little slow) but friendly. Their wings are always good, salad was tasty, fish was wonderful, not greasy at all, big thick portions but they were out of coleslaw (no substitute offered) and the fries are bad. Local wines, great to see. We sat on the 'quiet' side this time which is much better, at least you can have a conversation, TV on but not blaringly loud. We'll be back.

The worst experience of our entire lives. We will never eat here again. Not only was the waitress rude but when we complained about our orders being mixed up she actually gave us attitude as if it was our fault that we weren't clear enough. She gave my wife 20 wings and a beer when she ordered a wrap and an ice tea. No one at our table even ordered that food. When we told her she looked at us as if we were crazy. No apologies. No courtesy. Down right awful and overall the food looked and tasted rushed. It was indeed a busy time that we went but if business demands it the owners should understand to hire more people, especially with some common courtesy and manners.

If It wasn't for the food this place would have gone down long ago. the owners are nasty money hungry people and down right rude. They have absolutely no people skills. I seen the servers belittled in front of all. Washroom's smell like a bad yeast infection! No parking!

This place is a big question mark. Sometimes you go and are utterly amazed. Service and food is disputably the best. Other times like our recent visit nothing works out. Our last visit the pizza we got had the wrong toppings, the service was slow and the waitress was rude. When she realized she had messed up our order she asked if we minded picking off the mushrooms. Very baaad service.....Can I recommend? You decide. We'll probably go back but hopefully the service improves.
