I had a chance to stay overnight at this hotel last summer. I was looking forward to it as I was familiar with the hotel for many years, and knew they had been renovating. My room was fitted with all the latest amenities, including:
-- A large bathroom with a great walk-in shower. (Who takes baths at hotels?)
-- A convenient kitchenette. (But no paper towels were provided.)
-- Wood laminate flooring and duvet covers instead of bedspreads. Let me explain why I am excited about these two things: I have spent a lot of time in hotels over the years, and I don't think I've ever seen a bedspread on a linen cart. Do they wash them? Frankly, I'm not sure. Washable duvet covers seem a little more hygienic to me. Same thing with flooring. It is much easier to keep laminate flooring clean than carpeting. I think this is the way of the future for hotels.
-- Other offerings were a comfy armchair, a flat screen TV, free wifi, ample free parking, and a good range of in-room lighting for everything from working to relaxing.
I enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying again, but I wish they offered day rates. I live just outside Ottawa and often only come in for the day. I don't need a hotel for the night, and the standard check-in and check-out times don't work for me. I'd use this hotel regularly if they offered day rates.

I have been staying at the Business Inn for over 3 weeks, and it has been a great experience. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help - even with unusual requests. The rooms are very comfortable, and having a PC in the room has been great since it's also my office. The kitchen has all the essentials (even a coffee grinder) and the beds are also very comfortable.

Hotel idéalement placé à 5 minutes à pied de la colline du parlement. Hotel à taille humaine, personnel très courtois, très propre. La chambre familiale était d'une taille raisonnable mais le lit un peu petit pour 2 adultes. Restauration correcte mais service un peu lent.

This was a wonderful hotel. Great service at the front desk, they were even able to accomodate me when I had to extend my stay at the last minute. The hotel itself is a little dated however, it was clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel could use a few renovations.

Although I have stayed overnight at the WelcomInn a few times, mostly I come into town only for the day -- they offer very convenient and cost-effective day rates. Parking is ample and free.
The location is great for me, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable, with everything I need, including free wifi. There's a huge selection of restaurants within walking distance, but I usually prefer to bring food from home, so the small fridge and bar sink are great to have. Check in and out is easy, and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
My only complaint? It would be nice if the rooms had microwaves.
Overall, a great value and a clean, friendly, convenient hotel experience for the business traveler.
