Excellent place to dine in for every Friday we are going and dine at this restaurant. perfect ambient and delicious Indian food.
Great food choices of delicious Indian dishes. This is THE restaurant I introduce to my non-Indian friends. Each one them have loved it.
Worst food in taste and choices I ever had in Greater Toronto Area. The one star is for the young guy who serviced us. Waste of money and spoiled mood.
Excellent service and food served with good hospitality
For my wedding I used The host to cater my food. The food didnt arrive on time infact it was an hr late and also what we ordered we never received. The manager tried to make up for it by letting me do my birthday for 15 guest on them at the mississauga location. We were given a set menu which we agreed on. We didnt get served with our food 2 hrs after. We did get chicken tikka boti as an appetizer which came cold and un cooked. The service was also horrible
The Host has been around for years and the quality of the food is slowly going down. The Tandoori sizzlers use to be fantastic. The service is ok, sometimes have to wait for a drink quite a bit. The location is dull however and the decor has not changed for a decade. For the price, you can find way better.
I love Indian food, and decided to give The Host a try as I heard many good things about it. I was definitely impressed! As we walked in, we were seated right away in a nice big booth. The restaurant was small but quaint. There were poles on the ceiling and bangles on the poles all over the restaurant, it was neat. We ordered chat papri to start, which came right away and was delicious. Various waiters came to fill up our glasses with water consistently, I was impressed with that. Our meals were delicious, my butter chicken was cooked to perfection, with the accompanying roti warm and crispy, which made for great dipping! The price wasn't too bad for the main meal however, I found the side order of rice to be pricey, $4.00 for a small order, but the roti was reasonably priced, only $2.50 for a large roti cut in half. I would definitely return as I love Indian food and was impressed with the food at The Host!
I've had plenty of indian food at various resturants and The Host food was just ok. The food seem to be lacking the true indian spices - it seems the food was cooked to cater the North American folks.
Great selection, and well decorated restaurant =)
Some of the best Indian food we've ever had! We love Indian food, and have tried several places. So far, The Host takes it for the win. We went on a Tuesday evening, restaurant had minimal guests but the atmosphere was perfect. Candle lit tables and easy music made for a quiet and calm setting. Waiters were attentive and never had to be asked for refills, and food came not too quickly that you wondered if it was fresh, but not too long. Food was delicious and worth the buck! Recommended to all!
We have been to the Host multiple times and catered events with the Host and everytime the experience / food has been great. We have experimented with their menu and only order things on the menu that we know is great. That dishes that we have tried (which we love) are - the murgh malai tikka, butter chicken, the pakoras, dal, panneer tikka masala, and saag paneer - all excellent. Not saying that Host is the best indian restaurant, but it is certainly in the top three in Mississauga.
Good Indian restaurant. I have been here twice now and both times had a pleasant dining experience. The food is pretty good, although I would say the best Indian I have had. The first night we came here the background music was a little loud and made it hard to have a conversation across the table, but other than that I couldn't really complain. Servings are quite generous too which makes it worth the price tag.
Ive heard that the host has been in business for 12 years or so, but i could have been fooled by the service and lousy food. Most of the meat dishes were served late and thus were cold. I had to repeatedly ask the server for more drinks. He mistook my order twice and we had to send our food items back. There are much nicer indian restaurants in mississauga, I would avoid coming here.
Thank goodness for places like this!!! Just celebrated my mother's 70th birthday with 45 guests and everything was just perfect!!! The service was excellent with plenty of staff in attendance. Nothing was a bother and pretty good value too. If you're ever thinking of holding a small function, this is the place to have it.
This is a nice place to eat, and the food is delicious! The staff at Host Indian Restaurant are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere suits all. I like to go there for a special occasion. Overall, I would definitely recommend this, as it's definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to.
Heard a lot about this place ,so I chose Host for my girl friend's birthday. I am glad I found an excellent Indian restaurant. Food was great and so was service. Can't wait to try their other locations.
This is the worst Indian restauarant that I have ever been to. I have heard so many good things about the host. We have had the host cater many of our events and every time either they are missing a dish or the food is cold, or bland. We went there to eat dinner - first of all it is SO expensive. We LITTERALLY waited 30 minutes for the server to bring us WATER and even acknowledge that we were in the restauarant. We were litterally getting up to leave the place and then he showed up. The food took another 40 mins to come. We complained to the management but they did not care. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I am in the service industry and i would never treat anyone the way we were treated here.
I went Host on last saturday. REstaurant was ok busy and we got table immidiately. We ordered food and mango lassi. Mango lassi was like ready made mango juice with two spoons yogurt. Our food came within a 10 minutes which really surprised me. I lived Indian whole my life and know Indian food very well. The host needs to improve allot. Servers work there for their tips. If you don't give them tip, you get wierd look from them.
have been to all th indian restaurants in and around mississauga. this is a find. great food, excellent staff. great palce to entertain.
I am food lover and know about food very well. I saw host show on television and got impressed by the owner of the restaurant. I think sanjeev. I respect hardworking people. I went there and waited for table atleast 25 minutes. Restaurant was not busy at all. Only one server and not able to handle properly. Finally we got table and we ordered. Food came after 55monutes. We finished our two bottles of wien and one kingfisher each but food came very late. Finally came and i got very upset because food was very cold. I am sure it was in the fridge and forgot to preheat. Very bad restaurant. I heard about the owner and first time in my life i was wrong .
