The food here is always great. My favourite dish is the Cashew Shrimp. Their spring rolls are always crisp and done to perfection. They are very courteous and always try to please the customer. They make substitutions for me willingly and graciously. I eat here often...simply...great value for the money.
We waited over 1 hour for our main course while watching other customers who come in after us receive their main dishes and paid their bill. The waitress offered no explanation or discount for the incovenience. One waitress even offered to cancel the order for us after we made it clear that we were hungry and have been watching other customers eat while we are still waiting for a rice dish. I would not recommend this place to anyone no do i have any intentions to going back because of their poor customer service.
Been to many Thai places....this one is definitely with visiting again..very good food for a great price.....the salad dressing is definitely unique...the server told us that it's not off the shelf...it's made by their chef...and thumbs up for their spring roll from our 2 and half year old....an otherwise hard to please with food guy...
I have been to the Thai House several times since it has opened. Both for lunch and dinner. Over time, the service seems to have gone down to the point where you're waiting and waiting and then the food finally arrives and recently, in my and my friend's case curry sauce was mershed into the salad and the dressing which made for a messy-looking but still tasty meal. The spring rolls are absolutely delish, and the dressing on the salad is great. Hot and Sour soup's also real good.
Excellent Thai food, have ordered for pick up and dined in. The mango salad and beef salad are both fantastic. Perfect amount of spice in the beef salad. The coconut rice is excellent. Nothing bad to say about this place, although delivery would be a nice option.
No delivery. So picked up my food instead and was VERY disappointed.
First off, my red curry had at least 2 cm of oil laying on top and to make it even worst, after getting past the oil, there was barely any meat nor vegetables in my curry.
I also had their Pad-See-Ew... it too, was also swimming in oil. I ate less than half of my lunch and had to throw it out because I felt like i was eating too much oil.
Now, I hope this was some kind of mistake where the chef was too heavy handed with his spoon accidently or something, but this was unacceptable. Maybe if you dine in, the food comes out differently some how but I will not be taking any chances in returning.
Get a new chef!
We were struck first by the Thai House's somewhat unconventional atmosphere. It looked almost like an art gallery converted into a restaurant with its white walls and uncluttered decor.
The food itself was quite delicious. It was incredibly 'clean' tasting and some of the healthiest food we've enjoyed outside of a sushi restaurant. This is not to say it was without taste, just that people who prefer high amounts of grease to flavour their food will be sorely disappointed. The B.B.Q chicken breast in particular would satisfy even the most health conscious diner.
Had the Duck curry, what a great dish. They do take it easy with the spice, so as not to alarm the locals. It is still very flavourful, quality ingredients well-prepared. Classy decor and staff, which we always appreciate.
Main Sreet is becoming quite international now, it's good to see a change.
Great food, nice place... but have been there a couple times once with 2 people and once as a party of 6. The service can be VERY slow. For sure mroe so with the larger party... but really it was beyond normal slow.... and not all that busy of a night. If you are not in a rush of any kind it is great! Take out is fantastic too!
taken everyone I know for great food and authentic Thai cuisine - if there's not enough spice you just ask....the menu tems are spiced for Canadian taste but they are happy to spice it up on request -
Amazing Thai food I have ever met...Pad Thai was so wonderful and I love roasted duck in curry.. This is the restaurant we looking for...superb food and friendly staff.
