Hubert was founded just after World War II, in Cincinnati, Ohio, by George Hubert, Sr. At that time, Cincinnati was a major meat-processing center with most meat-related products sold through independent butcher shops. George decided to create a business to supply meat packing houses and retail butchers with the operating supplies they needed with a high degree of customer service.
