The service was ok, I guess for this place a group of 8 is more than they can handle. The big issue was when a child got an omlette and bit into what was a large and I mean large piece of glass. He was not hurt thank goodness.
The waitress took it back, seemingly with no idea what do do. We had not made a big seen, took her aside and whispered to her what was found. She immediately took it. 10 minutes later
she appeared with another omlette, which was not requested and said "oh no worries it was not glass it was a piece of plastic." Don't worry, are you kidding me I said. We do not want another omlette, please just give us the cheque. The bill came and I was floored. The omlette remained on the bill. I left the exact amount to cover the bill, absolutely not a tip and we will never darken the doors again.
Look, things happen although I am not sure how a 2" piece of plastic winds up in an omlette. But when it does, this was not the answer to the problem.
There were 8 people who watched this happen and I have just now cooled down
enough to talk about it.
So to the Guelph Mercury's list of best breakfasts I say - not a chance. The best ones are not even listed.

The restaurant seems to be clean and we do receive excellent service from the regular staff that has been there for some time now.
If you enjoy the home cooked taste of food and menu you will find this a good spot for all your meals.
My fiance and I take his son to Angel's regularily. I have found the food is ok, but tends to be a little bland. There is lots of choice on the menu, depending on your mood. The servers are always trying, and usually polite, but we have had several who made mistakes and needed more training on how to correct them. Still, we will continue. Its worth the price.

every time we are here the food is great, read a few of the other reviews and was shocked to see any bad ones, the staff are always fun the food is always great and you cant get a better motreal smoked meat sandwich any place else unless you go to montreal to get it.
