This place is a gem. Great food, wine, service and ambiance.
We had the Best Anniversary dinner last night (April 29 2015) at The Consulate, located inside the Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall. A special table was reserved for us near the window with a view to the water and the beautiful sunset. We enjoyed some sparkling wine and were treated to exceptional service from our server Marco. Everything came out timely and was delicious. They had another party of 25 people there but were still very attentive to our needs. Excellent-Highly Recommended! Thx Marco
This casual fine dining restaurant is located in Caledon overlooking Innis Lake and the Morraine. The food and presentation was great and the in house dessert a Bourbon Butterscotch Nut Tart was equally good. The selection of fine wines were impressive too. Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2010. Will return again.
We just experienced the local cuisine in at a great venue 15 minutes away from Palgrave, Ontario. The Consulate Dining Lounge located outside of Caledon East is a hidden gem located in the Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall. We attended a wedding there earlier in the year and noticed the Consulate, the fine dining lounge which over looks the Innis Lake and made note to come back again, which we did. I had the rack of Lamb and great glass of wine with an amazing home made dessert and met the Pastry Chef too. Susannah has been making fine deserts for 3 decades and her experience shows ! Will be back with a larger party soon.
