Fantastic place for catering!
If you like Indian vegeterian meal at a very reasonable price this is a very good place to go . Monday - Friday : Lunch Buffet only $ 6.99 !!! Sat-Sun : Lunch Buffet only $ 7.99 !!! Dinner ( 7 days a week ) : Only $ 7.99 !!! After you sit down for your buffet they bring hot steaming naans to your table freshly made . you can also get rotis , chappatis , Bhaturas if you want :) Naans are various types like onion , plain , garlic , kulcha etc . The buffet itself has 35 - 40 items . Lots of sweet dishes , ice creams & also vegeterian dishes . They also have chat papari , pani puri ( gol gappas etc ) . Some of the dishes I had were Dal Makhani , Shahi paneer , Mutter Paneer , Cholay , Alu Gobi , Palak Paneer , Alu Gobi , Pulav . Also had some chat pappadi & pani puri . Sweet dish I had Gajar Halwa , Gulab Jamun , Ras Malai , Kheer & Mango Ice cream :) I absolutely stuffet myself ..so did my guest ..& can't believe I just paid $ 7.99 for all you can eat Sat buffet . The service was decent ..they would come & clear our plates pretty quick ..that's all you need when you are at a buffet . The decor inside was a bit dull ..they could improve a bit on that , but otherwise nothing to complain about
Absolutely loved their food. I went there for a birthday dinner with family and it was really nice! After that I also took my co-workers for lunch and we definitely had an amazing time! Everyone was so impressed by their cheap prices and amazing food!
its a very nice place ,,, to have food with family and friends ,,, i love the atmosphere and service ... its like a tgraditional indian village resturant ... go always enjoy the mouth watering food .
Please don't waste your money. I just visited this restaurant today (July 06, 2010) I haven't had worst food like this in Canada in last few years. Dont go there...
we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. the food was tepid and disgusting. I normally love Indian food except when it tastes like garbage. horrible
Great food & excellent service, will come back for more.
Food was not fresh. You can tell by looking food that it was prepared few days back.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, service, clean environment, and best of all, it's cheap. What more could you ask for?
I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH CHOICE,VERY TASTY,KUFTA AND GARLIC NAAN,VARIETY OF VEGETABLES... I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY WEST INDIAN WHO LIKE TO ENJOY A VEGETARIAN MEAL.. HATS OFF VILLAGE.. EVEN BETTER AT EGLINGTON AND TOMKEN..DUE TO PROXIMITY
I would recommend this place to anyone who is vegetarian or not in the mood for some ethic cuisine with some kick! try the garlic naan- soo good.
Very bad food, very poor quality. try other restaraunts (Indian or otherwise) before going here.
They offered tea in a takeout tray. The lids of the cups were smaller to cover the cups. The tea spilled on my hands while holding the tray on the counter in front of 10 people. They put the actual size lids on my request.Otherwise they didnt even apologize for the mistake of putting wrong lids and burns.Worthless spending money there and expecting a little courtesy.
um...... not again due to bad service and poor food i was given food droped on the ground and told to pay for it
found ahair in my food and the staff were rude to us the veggies were cold
It's one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve been to. I would highly recommend it!
We went there for dinner at the weekend and boy! We do not regret the decision. The food was good. The service was only what lacked perfection! The 'Naans' were supposed to wait for but the 'subjis'were worth the wait. Overall good xperience. Will go for the next time...
the place was great i have went after this visit the food is yummy '_'
The buffet was excellent. It was hot and they kept refilling immediately. Village of India is famous for it naans - and we were not disappointed. We ordered the onion-garlic naan and it was succulent, not very greasy and remained soft till the end of the meal - a true good naan attribute. Specifically I personally liked the chola (chick peas curry), mattar paneer, (peas-cottage cheese) the pani of the pani puri (the best in town) and the dahi bada. For 7.99 its value for money all the way. This was our first visit - and we'll be back!
With so many varieties, you will not be disappointed. And we never got bored even though we visit once a month. Kids love it - Paani poori, so many sweets and 4-5 varieties of ice creams. Everything for $6.99!!
