We had to try this place - saw it on Restaurantica and thought we would drop in and see.
First the good news - food was obviously fresh and we ordered and had a seat. 10 minutes later we were "buzzed" and went up to the counter front and made our choices for toppings.
My burger was good - not the best I ever had but still good. I went with the 8 oz burger combo - the 5 oz looked suspect and based on the way mine cooked down, I thing the 8oz is the way to go. Lots of good toppings to choose from - not just the usual stuff. Fries were very good - my wife enjoys "chip truck" fries and was pleasantly surprised. Her chicken burger was very good - have to make special mention of the buns - they really made the burger.
Now the only bad news - the seating. I have never been a fan of "bar stools" and this place has two of them. I know it's a small place but regular tables would work fine. Adding these tall stools and tables makes moving tables around impossible.
We actually went back the following day and my wife had the poutine. She was disappointed for two reasons. Her family is from Quebec and anyone there will tell you they use turkey gravy and not beef gravy. It was waterlogged with the gravy.
I will go back but off hours and will not be ignoring the poutine.
This place is amazing, never seen anything like it before. Everything is fresh, delicious, and spotlessly clean. You can see and choose everything before you order...awesome.
