This is my favourite restaurant. period. I don't get the chance to travel to Vancouver much but we've debated flying in just for dinner at Ouisi. There isn't a thing on the menu you should not order. Great portion sizes, great flavours - I crave them while back home in Ontario.

The Ouisi is a New Orleans-inspired restaurant on Granville Street. Besides their scrumptious Cajun and Creole cuisine, they also host regular live music events. Their drink menu boasts a large selection of good whiskeys, bourbons and single malt scotches, so you won’t go thirsty here.

Hidden at the back of the restaurant is a small courtyard patio covered in ivy, strewn with holiday lights, and with more than its fair share of friendly chickadees. A must-try accessory to the sun-drenched yellow walls is the bottle of sparkling wine for mimosas: one of the best bargains in the city at just $24.
