In 1963, Dawson Creek and area grain producers formed the South Peace Grain Cleaning Cooperative to construct a seed cleaning facility for member producers. The cooperative built a new seed cleaning facility in 1987 to accommodate increased demand for cleaning services. Over the past 25 years South Peace Grain has continually updated, modernized and improved its lineup of seed cleaning equipment.
