Without exception, golfers need to practice their swing. They need to work on it not just to keep bringing their golf scores down, but to maintain good form and health so they can keep playing into their twilight years. “People come in with all sorts of swings and some of that is just understanding – how they think they’re supposed to move their arms and club versus how they should move,” says John Aasen, owner of 3D Golf Performance.
John points to pro golfer Bubba Watson as one of the few exceptions out there, as his swing is unorthodox and entirely self-taught. But for the rest of the population, John says fine-tuning the mechanics of a golf swing is an excellent idea. “Guys like Bubba Watson are one in a million,” he says. “That’s why he is who he is. But not many club golfers even have the ability to swing like him and be that good, that consistent, that powerful.”
