Excellent, I had cataract and a cornea transplant. The results were outstanding…vision improved daily…I was able to drive within 10 days of surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Al-Ghoul and his team for any eye surgery.
This clinic is mediocre. The entire premise behind the operation is that the patients are merely fodder for the mill. It is quite appropriate to waste their time, to expect them to manage their own patient care, and the clinic though it does ultimately provide eye care services it does so with emphasis on the convenience of the doctors and the staff. I had cataract surgery today. I was instructed to be at the clinic at 6.30 am though no one bother with me until 7.45 am. Just one example.
Dr. Al-Ghoul is an outstanding Ophthalmologist. He completely fixed my astigmatism and nearsightedness with PRK refractive surgery. I’m going on my honeymoon now and don’t have to lug around glasses or contacts! He is very meticulous and does a lot of testing, which are definitely things I was looking for in an eye surgeon. He talked one on one with me to discuss my options and answered all my questions. Thank you Dr. Al-Ghoul and all the staff at Seema!
This was one of my very worst eye appointment in more than 30 years. I was left with a very frustrated and angry feeling. I was charged $60.00 for an assessment and was given no options or possibilities for overcoming my condition. My optometrist had already told me everything this so called specialist advised and I was covered for it without having to pay $60.00 out of pocket. I would not this recommend this (Dr) Al-Ghoul Ahmed

I am sorry to learn that your experience at Seema wasn't satisfactory. I believe you paid $60.00 for the Tearlab Osmolarity Test for both eyes. This test is not covered by the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP), yet it is one of the dry-eye diagnostic tools that is highly recommended to document the baseline ocular condition, and to guide us in diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. The patients who have elevated Osmolarity are more likely to have issues with their ocular surface and dry eye. If left untreated, it can significantly impact the outcome of certain eye surgeries. Patients may need some services that are not covered by AHCIP, however, we ensure that they are fully informed of their options before providing any uninsured services. We would like the opportunity to further discuss your case, in person or by a phone call, and address any concerns you may still have. We appreciate the feedback that helps us improve. Thank you, Amera
