North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre offers ceramic and visual arts classes in a quaint heritage building in northwest Calgary. Built as a school in 1913, over a century later, it remains a learning facility for students of all ages. Let your creative juices flow in its well-lit, modernized studio space. Tons of regular programs are available including artful bookbinding, clay sculpture making, drawing and painting fundamentals, as well as combo sessions that may include a mix of ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking and more.
Set your child’s inner Picasso free at North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre’s How to Draw People course. The course will teach nine to 12-year-olds time-tested strategies and techniques for drawing portraits, sketches and action drawings of people. The course runs March 13 to April 3, 10:30 am to 12 pm, Sundays. The fee is $42.75 plus GST for three classes.
