We were all packe...
We were all packed up to leave Calgary and needed to get some brunch. On the drive out we see several signs showing specials at the Elbow River Casino, no strings attached [unlike other casinos that require you to sign into a players reward program or some other hook] so we decided to stop in. I ordered the thai salmon, which was so dry it turned to ashes when poked. The ‘fresh greens’ were disgusting. The potato’s were meh. Unfortunately, it was all terribly unappetizing. The dining area was themed like an outdated red lobster. Now, I shouldn't rag on the Elbow River Casino to much, as I didn't have high expectations to begin with. But it was pretty bad. Oh and the entire place was pretty dirty. Seriously, go and check. It has cheap and tacky decorations everywhere which the tops have dust bunnies and tumbleweeds. The staff there were detouring to say the least. When I inquired as to the location of the restaurant to the security guard at the podium, I was shrugged off, as the days paper obviously takes priority. The customer service representatives were not much help either. I waited patiently while one was endlessly flirting with one of the bigger security guards while the other appeared to watch on enviously. Finally I was helped by one of the hostesses. Parking was also a hassle as the attendant didn't seem to understand what we were saying. Glad the whole experience was kept short lets say. Now don't say you weren't warned! Just say no to this place.
